Printing Supplies

We try to keep a supply of standard 8.5" x 11" printer paper available for everyday use. Specialty materials such as cardstock, labels, or photo paper are sometimes available and free to use when present, but availability is not guaranteed. Members are always welcome to bring their own paper and specialty media.

If you are printing a large number of pages or using printers heavily, please consider making a donation to help cover paper, toner, and ink costs. These supplies add up quickly, and member support helps keep printers available for everyone.

Available Printers

Brother MFC-L3770CDW

Use this printer if: you need color documents, scanning, or double-sided prints.

The Brother printer is your standard all-in-one color laser printer/copier/scanner(/fax, but we don't have a phone line). The maximum paper size is standard 8.5" x 11", and we try to keep a ream or two of regular printer paper on hand. We often have some other specialty printing materials around (card stock, labels, etc.) that are up for grabs and can be used by members. It is network-connected and can be accessed by any device connected to our WiFi.

HP LaserJet P2035n

Use this printer if: you are printing lots of text quickly and do not need color.

This is our reliable black-and-white laser printer, ideal for fast, high-volume text printing and everyday documents. It excels at sharp text output and quick turnaround, making it a good choice for drafts, handouts, and instructional materials. The printer is network-connected and available to any device on the Root Access WiFi. It is not intended for photos or graphics-heavy prints, and members are encouraged to use it for efficient, utilitarian printing rather than finished presentation work.

Epson Stylus Pro 3880

Use this printer if: you are making posters, art prints, or anything larger than 8.5"x11".

This is our wide-format inkjet printer, capable of producing high-quality color and photo prints up to 17x22 inches. It is well-suited for posters, photographs, art prints, signage, and detailed graphics where color accuracy and resolution matter. Ink for this printer is expensive, so usage is billed based on print area to help cover consumable costs. Members are encouraged to do test prints at smaller sizes before committing to large final prints and to supply their own paper whenever possible.
