Root Access is currently closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We will re-open when it is safe to do so. Stay safe, stay healthy, and wash your hands. Much love.

What's in a name?

On Linux and other Unix-based computer operating systems, the root user is the account that has access to all commands and files. Having root access means you can do anything on that system. "You can do anything" is the embodiment of our space.

What's with our logo?

Our logo is derived from the hacker emblem, which itself is derived from a pattern in Conway's Game of Life called a glider. Beyond that, we wanted to be a place where the community can learn, explore, and share — a place where people can connect the dots.
