What we're doing in the midst of the pandemic.
In the early days of COVID-19, we organized efforts to make protective equipment for our community – from healthcare workers to essential businesses and community organizations to at-risk individuals in need.
Although the PPE shortage is largely behind us and we've spun down our operations, we can proudly reflect on how quickly our members came together to keep our community safe and help flatten the curve at a time when little was known about this virus and millions were scared.
We could not be more grateful to our volunteers, who produced and distributed over 4,500 pieces of PPE.
We began 3D printing face shields in partnership with Ideaworks and The Pi Shop, and have also printed ear savers and other contactless accessories.
We have sewn and distributed thousands of cloth face masks and hundreds of scrub caps to healthcare workers, essential businesses, and other folks in-need.
