Explore the art of color, light, and texture as you bring your own vibrant animal to life with Prismacolor pencils. This hands-on class focuses on blending, shading, and layering techniques to create depth and realism—even in the most imaginative color palettes.
This class will use Prismacolor color pencils to make an animal and then to color and shade it in. The animal will not necessarily be colored with realistic colors, for example if someone picks a purple color scheme and a squirrel they will wind up with a purple squirrel, but the shading involved will trick the eye into seeing something that is less cartoonish and more realistic.
At the beginning of class you will pick from the Prismacolor color-bundles available, and introduce yourself with your preferred name, what animal you’ll be drawing, if you have artistry experience, and if so in what types of art mediums.
